Full Day rage & Grief ritual -  Spring 2026

Sacred Rage & Grief Ceremony

Energy cannot be created nor destroyed. It by nature wants to flow from one state to another. Unfortunately, we do not have the cultural containers to hold and process big energies such as rage and grief in community. So, they take hold in the first altar, the altar of the body - and when held there for too long they can cause dis-ease.

Sacred rage allows us to express our limits, boundaries and needs when they have not been met. Grief is the process by which we acknowledge love lost in the form of beings, abilities, communities, ancestors. With the support of our plant allies, our bodies, sound, and each other - we will gather to tend to sacred rage and grief. Using exercises of movement, sound, breath we will explore these sacred emotions and connect with them to allow them to be expressed and transmuted.

We are here, alive, feeling, and moving together. Collaboration, connection, and feeling instead of numbing are acts of communal resistance and liberation.

what will happen inside the ritual container?

A full-day ceremony composed of:

Part 1-Sacred Rage Exploration

Part 2 - Community Grief Ritual

01

Part 1 - The morning (10am-12:30pm) will include opening circle, meditation, creation of agreements, and somatic practices of breath, sound, and movement to explore the rage that lives in our bodies. We will break for 45 minutes for lunch (BYO lunch).

02

Part 2 - After our lunch break (1:15pm-4pm), we will start the community grief ritual as adapted from teachings of Malidoma Some from Burkina Faso. We will connect with our individual griefs, and then come together to witness and support each other in the expression of our grief. This is a potent ritual of heartache, which in turn creates its own medicine. After the ritual ends, we will hold a closing circle and sound healing for integration.

03

Plant allies will support us throughout our ceremony.

We’ll open with a chakra-balancing tea, a simple ritual to align the energy centers and invite vulnerability, presence, and safe connection.

Flower essences will come through in the moments they’re needed — little drops of support to ease transitions, soften resistance, and guide emotional release.

And to close, a tea blend for remembrance, calming, and cleansing — something that brings emotional comfort, love, healing, and serenity. A way to return to self with sweetness and grace.

In collaboration, Emma Teresa, Sarah LaShelle, and Monica Gonzalez will be creating a physical, energetic and medicine space to support the connection, expression and expression of rage and grief that reside in our communal bodies.

Together, they weave intuitive plant energetics with grounding practices, breath, movement, vocalization, and sound medicine — creating an experience where the wisdom of the body, the medicine of the Earth, and the frequency of sound move in conversation with one another.

This synchronistic approach allows stuck patterns to soften, the heart to open, and the nervous system to remember its natural capacity to feel, settle, and transform. Herbs become mirrors and messengers, somatics becomes a language of truth, and sound becomes a portal for release, remembrance, and reclamation.

Client testimonials

Rebecca L

I feel such a sense of clarity, empowerment and peace, and I feel that I have the skills and perspective to navigate any change that comes my way so that these feelings continue with me throughout my life. I have a lot of confidence in myself and my future and I wouldn't have been able to feel this without coaching. It absolutely has changed my life for the better for today and for the rest of my life.

Kerstin D

I've loved the clarity I've gotten from our conversations, it's been wonderful to see it all in one picture. Your critical questions were very helpful and I've felt wonderfully supported and cheered on. You have a delightful, loving, and kindhearted presence. I really enjoyed hearing everyone's perspectives. It helped with not feeling alone throughout the container.

Maria P

Working with Emma changed my life to navigate a life transition with peace, clarity and confidence. I believe her somatic approach and her ability to really listen and provide an open space for honesty and support can help so many people find the peace and clarity that they may need during difficult times. She has a gift and I highly recommend her for coaching- it would surely be a beautiful journey.
